hailey summers

Dallas-based artist, Hailey Summers (they/them), is a freelance movement artist specializing in freestyle, choreography, performance, storytelling, dance education, and artistic direction. Summers has trained extensively in styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, and modern. For the past five years, they have immersed themselves in street dance culture, training in various street styles such as hip-hop, house, popping, waving, and animation. The nucleus of Summers’ work in Dallas continues to be the curation of Discovery Movement, an artist sanctuary that combines the powers of improvised movement, dance philosophy, storytelling, live music, art, and film. Summers has had the pleasure to teach Discovery Movement at organizations and schools such as Bishop Arts Theatre Center, Booker T. Washington HSPVA, WAAS Gallery, Junior Players, Joffrey Ballet Texas, and Oak Cliff Dance. The goal is to inspire the next generation of artists to expand beyond the existing structures of art, activating their creative spirit and imaginative minds with love at the center of it all. @summers.hailey
